Nesting has a well stocked general store, Skellister Stores, which also has a local post office and petrol and diesel fuel pumps. You can follow them on facebook. 

 

Nesting Primary School is situated close to the hall and has received many awards for its in and out of school activities. The school grounds are very much worth a walk round.

Galley shed, next to the hall. This is where the Up Helly Aa galley is build and the torches made. Many a fun night in here!

Nesting History Group, an amazing amount of information regarding Nesting. The group use the old school building to store and exhibit their artifacts, photographs and documents.

Nesting Scrapstore situated in the Auld Skul opening times Wednesdays 1-3pm Sundays 2-5pm. You can find lots o bargains!

Nestin’ rowing club, summer sporting activity, May to August. Participants of all ages row in Shetland wide yoal regattas in Nesting’s own yoal, Maddrim.
